Sewerage

Sewerage

Water Corporation

UrbanGrid Australia has undertaken sewerage works throughout various suburbs in both metropolitan and regional areas of Western Australia. The projects have varied in size and have included significant installations as part of the Water Corporation initiated project to transfer residents from internal septic tanks to sewerage mains. As these works were carried out on private property, close customer interaction and coordination was required. These properties all required the installation of a pressurised sewerage system as the house location could not accommodate a traditional gravity fed sewerage connection to the main. The terrain presented challenging ground conditions - cap rock typography and undulating land, and as a result required the use of expert drill teams and equipment.

Caddadup Waste Water Treatment Plant

Water Corporation

UrbanGrid Australia was contracted to install the main water line to the Caddadup Waste Water Treatment Plant along with all other electrical and communications infrastructure during the initial construction phase. This project required the mobilisation of all terrain support vehicles due to the location of the new plant and the lack of sealed access roads. The scope of works included the installation of new PVC water main, isolation and air valves, thrust blocks, hydrostatic pressure testing and live tapping. As a result of the success of this project, UrbanGrid Australia was then required to undertake similar works at various other plants as part of a large-scale facilities upgrade. Facilities included Hepburn Water Supply and Telecommunications Facility, Beenyup Waste Water Treatment Plant and Woodman Point Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Water Corporation

UrbanGrid Australia has undertaken a variety of works with the Water Corporation and its contractors throughout the Perth metropolitan area and regional Western Australia. These projects have included the extension of water mains in Osborne Park using Horizontal Directional Drilling and PE butt welding, the installation of communications and power services to various wastewater and treatment plants, and the installation of larger communications networks and power at the Leederville Water Corporation head office. These works routinely included general maintenance of onsite infrastructure. UrbanGrid Australia has also been required to rectify safety hazards identified and undertake maintenance activities including rectification of pavement, concrete and roadways.
